Top Immigration Apps for Entry into the USA

Immig11

Technology is transforming many aspects of the United States government – and immigration is no exception. Immigration authorities in the United States are now recommending various apps – many of which were created and sanctioned by the government. If you’re planning to emigrate to the United States or apply for citizenship, you might want to become aware of these apps. Of course, there is no app that can magically make you a US citizen with a few taps on your screen. For this, you will need to contact an experienced immigration attorney in Palm Beach County.

Mobile Passport Control (MPC)

You can download the Mobile Passport Control app from Google Play or the Apple App Store. This app allows certain travelers to enter their passport, photo, and customs information before arrival in the United States. The end goal is to streamline entry into the country. Perhaps most notably, travelers who use this app can expect to spend less time going through passport control – and there may be less inspection at the border. If you use the MPC app correctly, you will not have to complete paper forms when you arrive at the border.

That being said, there are only a few people who are eligible to use the MPC app. These include American citizens, permanent residents, and some Canadians. You might also qualify to use this app if you are returning to the nation during a Visa Waiver Program application. You should also know that the MPC app is only approved at certain sites. Many airports accept the MPC app, including the Palm Beach Seaport. Many other airports throughout Florida accept the MPC app.

The Global Entry Mobile Application

Another option is the Global Entry Mobile Application. This allows “Trusted Travel Members” to submit their passports and photos using their smartphones. Often, it allows travelers to avoid passport control inspection – similar to the MPC app. The end goal is to streamline your entry into the United States.

However, there are a few notable differences between the MPC app and the Global Entry app. First of all, the MPC app is free to use – and it is automatically accessible to certain people. On the other hand, the Global Entry app costs $100 for a five-year membership. In addition, it is only available to those who successfully navigate background checks and an interview. The benefit of the Global Entry app is that more airports accept it.
